Audio processing

Noise — Tab Audio Cleaner processes audio from a browser tab you explicitly select to improve speech clarity. Processing runs locally on your device using bundled RNNoise or GTCRN models. Audio is not sent to the developer or any external service, recorded to files, retained after processing, sold, or shared with third parties.

Selected tab information

The extension uses the selected tab's identifier, URL and title transiently to validate and manage the capture session. This information is not stored in a browsing history or transmitted externally. The extension does not request microphone or camera input.

Settings and deletion

Your language, engine selection, noise reduction, speech leveling, hum removal and equalizer settings are stored locally using Chrome's storage.local API. They are not synchronized by the extension or transmitted to the developer. Uninstalling the extension removes its saved settings. Audio processing stops when you disable cleaning or close the captured tab.

Third-party services

Noise contains no analytics, advertising, tracking SDKs, user accounts, remote model downloads or developer-operated backend. Bundled code and models run on your device. Websites you visit and Chrome itself have their own privacy practices outside the extension's control.

Limited use of data

The use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used solely to provide the user-requested audio processing feature.
